A good mouse is nothing to scoff at - you use them every day, and you're going to want one that is comfortable and has all the features you want, whether you work from home or in the office. It's got multi-touch gesture support and is rechargeable, but many people would still trade fancy features for a traditional mouse. The new mouse arrives tomorrow, so I will let you know how it goes.Apple's Magic Mouse isn't for everyone. I had to use the French version on my 'qwerty' layout.Īll I had done was to unplug from one and in to the other? I have used French layouts quite a number of times helping our French neighbours when we lived there, but it was quite a surprise when I was shot back in to it here in England Somehow it had switched over as we also have the French one on the keyboard setup. So I entered the 'qwerty' and got 'azerty! The French keyboard. Where the 'm' should be was a comma ',' and the semicolon was the 'm' Panic! I reconnected the USB keyboard to the old iMac and opened the word program and started to type in some text. So I switched the Magic jobbie on and it still wouldn't accept it. It wouldn't accept the password and that happened several times!. No problems, I would just put the sys password in and unlock it from the USB keyboard. The one with the little padlock on it and the screen went into locked mode. When I moved the new Magic Keyboard that comes with the M1 I managed to press the top right hand key on it. I also had some fun when I transferred the USB keyboard across from the old iMac to the new one along with the M510 mouse to see if they both work on it. They still do, at the moment anyway? So the thing is going back to Amazon and good riddance to ti. A little earlier this morning all it would do was scroll and move the curser, no spelling mastike as it was me doing the cursing! Then all of a sudden it burst in to life and the scroll wheel clicks started working as did the left side buttons. So as it states 'For Mac' I just hope that the thing operates correctly. Well, hopefully I have now found the cure? I have bitten the proverbial bullet and lashed out for a Logitech MX Master 3 – Advanced Wireless Mouse for Mac.
